Week 18 Ultrasound picture

We're having a boy! We had the anatomy ultrasound on Monday, the 18th. We immediately called our parents to tell them the news. We did tell our best friends and co-workers last week, but we waited to post on fb and tell our families until Easter Sunday. After we said the blessing for the food, we made the announcement at my Auntie's house. We also shared that his name will be Lincoln Hollis . We were also given some used clothing and gear yesterday. His room is starting to get full and we haven't even set-up the furniture yet!

Elimination Communication is sometimes called Infant Potty Training, but it really is a little more and a little less than that. The name Elimination Communication sums up exactly what it is about, communication with our very young children about their elimination needs. Think about it, your child found ways very early on to communicate with you about other needs like being tired or hungry. Their elimination is really no different. Babies are born with the instinct to not want to lay in their own waste, just like other mammals. By being kept in diapers, we train them to tune out that instinct. Joe and I went to Re*Blossom on Saturday because we saw a fb status that they had received more spring/ summer clothes. I have two pair of jeans, a denim skirt and shorts already so I felt like I had enough to cover my bottom half. We were blessed to find so many tops at the mama and baby reuse store. All them are from Motherhood. It's true! I crave them! My bathing suit top a flowy skirt a beautiful black dress a black tank top Sunday, Joe and I went to the mall so I could fitted for a bra. I have grown quite a bit since the pregnancy. We didn't purchase one at Victoria's Secret because they are $42. I know what size to look for now. We looked at Motherhood while we were in the mall and I found a few shirts and dresses I like there too. We'll probably go back on Thursday to get some us both some clothes from the mall. Speaking of packing on the pounds, that what it's all about for baby this week. He's adding fat stores that will keep him warm and cozy after he's born.
