House for Sale
Our house was listed on April 1st. It's been shown many times and there's been one low offer. We try to stay positive in the midst of this discouraging market. With so many foreclosures out there that are nicer and cheaper, we have some steep competition. We have some decisions to make- lower the price, stay in the house longer, or wait on the Lord's timing. Your prayers are greatly appreciated as we seek direction.
Employment Update
Joseph is still a technician for Intervention DataCom. His job has required him to travel out of town a lot more this year taking him to Texas and Florida for extended periods of time. We're hoping he'll be home more in 2013.

Rebekah is a 4th grade teacher this year to 19 students at Gaines Elementary. It was an adjustment transitioning back to a homeroom position after being an interventionist for 2 years. We are both thankful for employment.
First Overnight Trip
For our 3rd anniversary in June, we made reservations at the Dillard House in Dillard, Ga for two nights. We hiked trails at northeast GA state parks, and made pottery and ate at a German restaurant in Helen, Ga. It was our first overnight trip away from Lincoln. Rebekah struggled with the separation the first night, but realized her parents were taking good care of him so she could enjoy the break.
Raising a Toddler
Lincoln is 15-months-old and changing every day. Every time we get him from his crib in the morning or he runs to us when we pick him up from school, it fills our love tank. We can't imagine the love we will feel for him when he is 10, 20, 30 years old since our love is so great for him now. Lincoln still goes to Georgia Academy of Early Learning, which is the school he started at 8-weeks. He takes naps on a cot, sits at a table in a regular chair, plays on the playground, and makes art projects. His newest thing is going to get what we ask him to retrieve. When we ask questions about being ready to eat or bathe, he takes off for the highchair or bathroom door.  We are thrilled watching him develop into the smart boy that he is.
Family of Four
November 1st we found out that we are expecting another baby. We are 11-weeks and due at the end of June 2013. If we had two children, we wanted them to be close in age so this will put them 21 months apart. We're not going to find out the gender until the baby's birthday. Rebekah is in the midst of the common morning sickness, but we are praying it passes soon so she can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.
Christmas Traditions
Last Christmas we had a 3-month old. Needless to say, our decorations will be a little strategic and minimal this year since we have a mobile and curious little one exploring. We've decided to follow the gift-giving philosophy of "something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read". Gift-giving and receiving is fun, but we don't want that to be the focus of our Christmas traditions or for Christmas to be an anti-climatic event. Our prayer is that your family doesn't get sucked into the secularized version of Christmas, but remembers the importance of togetherness and the role of Christ in Christmas.
