If you're a bird, I'm a bird

It is Friday (6/21/13), one day before 39 weeks. I have been having contractions regularly today. I'm not quite sure if this is it, but I am thinking that it is. The contractions are about 6-10 minutes apart right now. Feeling a lot of pressure and opening the last couple hours so I may need to start seriously tracking the contractions. I am home alone and I'll need to notify some people (husband, parents, doula, midwife). I guess we'll know soon enough. Update: I had Grey Ellis at home about 12 hours after this post. My water broke at 7:45pm as we were putting our 1 year old to bed. For the full birth story, read Grey Ellis Birth Story blog post.

Joe and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on Thursday, the 6th. It was pretty uneventful because we knew we were going to celebrate over the weekend. We decided on a "staycation" since traveling is uncomfortable and I am so close to my due date. We had a whirlpool room at the Country Inn & Suites for two nights not too far from my house. The whirlpool room has a garden tub with jets. My body needed to have some gravity taken away by soaking in the tub! My parents came on Friday to watch Lincoln and left around 2:00 on Sunday. I missed my little guy while we were separated. I hoped he was having fun and hoping he was adjusting well to his grandparents being there and not wondering where we were. Joe and I got ready for dinner at the hotel and ate BBQ at a new place that opened in town. The BBQ was good, but I was not pleased with either of my sides. The baked beans were hard and some were soft and the coleslaw had little flavor. Joe didn't care for his stew
