I feel like I have not blogged in so long, which is true. I survived parent/teacher conferences last week. I had 23 out of 27 show up. One I am going to call next week and conference over the phone. Knitting has been on a stand still for a few weeks now. I just picked it up again last night. I have two bootie orders to complete and then I am going to make other things for myself, dogs, house, etc. Friday Date Night: For dinner, we ate at the Olive Garden. We went to Party City and Borders. I sat in Borders looking at the craft section. A great deal of time was spent flipping through a book. I jotted down some projects I saw that I may want to try out. 1) felted dog bones, 2) baskets made of bed sheets, 3) a baby mobile, 4) security blanket, and 5) a curtain. I also found a Bargain Book section where I found a knitting kit for $3.99. Although, I did not need the instruction guide, yarn, or circular needles, it came with 15 patterns. Merchandise

Since I am on spring break, I am trying to make items for my store. I have an etsy store, it is just empty right now. As I am making something, someone places an order. My goal is to have three items in the store by the end of the week. Another friend of mine has requested a pair of booties for a co-worker at her work. I am making a pair of booties right now that I made with silver linen!! Whew! I'll be happy to get back to cotton again! Working with linen went quickly, but weaving in ends is tough and they do not stand on their own. I am going to be make a pair with green and brown varigated wool next for those earthy people. RLWH

A girl I grew up with saw my baby booties for sale. She is having a girl in April so I custom made the booties she wanted and delivered them to her in Beaufort, SC.

Spring Break

After school on Friday, I went home to pick up the dogs for the road trip down south. I arrived in Beaufort, SC at 8:30. I have not driven that route by myself in a while. Usually Joe and I are together and he does the driving. Making the trip after a day of teaching made it even more exhausting. My mom and I stayed up talking and catching up until midnight. I slept solid all night and was thankful for the continuous sleep and being on vacation. My dad made egg sandwiches and the pot of coffee was delicious. My mom and I started getting ready for my sister-in-law's baby shower. My auntie was hosting it at her house at 10:00am. After the shower, I took the dogs outside and Fisher jumped in the pool. Journey wandered off once so she went to time-out for a little while. My father is making fried fish for dinner, which I am readu for now. My husband went on a fishing trip in the Smoky Mountains with his buddy Alan. They left Friday and will return Sunday afternoon. Joe is turning
