Reflection

As the new year approaches, we also seem to find things we want to improve or get accomplished. I have been contemplating my goals for 2011. As of right now, all of them include knitting. write my business plan for my yarn store knit a shawl donate something for charity get knitting instructor certification learn to loom knit knit two 9 X 11 swatches a month for a year to sew together for an afghan take a dying class knit a sweater for myself I received a book I wanted for Christmas titled Cowl Girls: The Neck's Big Thing to Knit.   I already started a snoodie, which has been a stylish quick knit.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Friday was a weird day at work. My schedule was very unusual. I left at 2:30 and went to the post office to mail a couple packages. Joe came home and we went out for date night. We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner and picked up a few gift wrapping necessities from Wal*Mart. We watched Netflex on our wii. We were both excited to sleep in because of the weekend. We slept in and went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It was raining so we dressed VERY casual. I wore my rain boots and scarf. I ordered the Old Timer's Breakfast and Joe ordered the Country Fried Steak breakfast. At home, we wrapped presents, watched movies and documentaries, had a fire in the fireplace, and played wii. Saturday was very relaxing! Sunday morning, Joe made french toast and sausage for breakfast. We went to church at Life Church of Athens in the Morton Theatre. We've been going there for a few months. We have yet to get involved which is a reoccuring dilemma for us. More so for me than for Joe. Becaus

Let it Snow

As I get older, fall and winter become my favorite time of year. Of course, I am thankful for the variety of seasons because just as I get tired of one, another one is on its way. What I like mostly about fall are the fires, hot beverages like cocoa and chai, an excuse to be lazy inside, quality time by playing games, watching movies, or playing wii, cuddled up reading a book, anticipating snow and cancelled school days, and the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, that accompany the weather. In Athens, we typically have snow once a year, which is a better likelihood than if I was still living in Beaufort. Checking weather.com and school closings regulary is a part of the routine that comes along with fall and winter.
